The problem
OSHE London Academy is a UK-based online training provider offering occupational safety, health and environment (OSHE) diplomas and certifications. Their existing site was already built on React and Laravel, but it was slow, unoptimized, and the design wasn't doing the platform justice — a poor first impression for a business selling professional credibility.
What I did
I rebuilt the front end on Laravel with Inertia.js and React, tightened up performance across the board, and added a new diploma support feature with automatic certificate generation — so students get their certificate issued automatically on course completion instead of it being a manual step.

The site was already on a React + Laravel stack, so this wasn't a stack migration like some of my other case studies — the problem was execution, not architecture choice. Pages were slow to load, the design didn't reflect the credibility a certification provider needs, and there was no automated way to issue diplomas — completions had to be handled manually.
What changed
I rebuilt the front end using Inertia.js to connect Laravel and React properly, rather than running them as two loosely-connected halves — which is usually where the performance problems come from in React+Laravel builds like this one. Alongside the rebuild, I optimized asset loading and cleaned up render-blocking code to bring PageSpeed scores up.
The standout new feature is automatic diploma certificate generation: once a student completes a course, their certificate is generated and issued automatically, with no manual admin step in between. For a training provider running multiple diploma and certification tracks, that removes a recurring administrative task and gets students their credentials faster.
Our platform was slow and it wasn't giving learners the experience we wanted for a professional training provider. Since the rebuild, the site performs much better and the automatic certificate feature has genuinely cut down our admin work — students get their diploma the moment they finish, without us having to process it manually.
